Funny, I was thinking about setting up a twitter account to go with my blog, so I could get to know some of the bloggers I follow/visit and who follow/visit me better!

I'm going to go create it now! My blog
    http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/
but my twitter name will have to be less than 15 characters ...so perhaps I will go with SouthDaydreamer???.... "see" you soon!

    Thanks for the idea!

You read my mind. I signed up for twitter but I don't really know why. It's another thing to keep up with and do people really want updates that often?? I don't get it. At all.

    Merry CHRISTmas!

    Blessings,
    Linda

twitter is fun. i like reading the chatter and tweeting what i'm doing, even if it is lame. sometimes its nice to read the thoughts of other people.

    Yay, Susan! You did it.

Frogmama, I know. But you can limit how many folks you follow, so you don't get overwhelmed. And you don't have to check it often if you don't want to. It's sort of fun to take a peek a few times/day to see what's what.

Linda, Sounds like a great endeavor!

Natural, it is sort of fun. I'm still trying to figure out how it works for me.

I can't believe you did so much research! And I can't believe I just sat here and read it all!!! Tweeting is really boring until you get, like, 100 followers. And you don't have to approve everyone. In fact, I tend to not approve people that only seem to send out links to stuff (it looks like spam to me) or folks who are following 5,000 people, but only have 2,000 followers. Again, they look like spammers.

I can't figure out twitter either. I'm on it but I can't seem to really have a conversation on it. Sigh.

I got an IPhone for Christmas - it's another thing I need to figure out! I think I should move back to the stone ages. Sad that.

I'm gonna go and try and figure out how to follow you now on Twitter. I'd let you know if it works, or if it does I won't need to I guess - does that make sense? Sigh (again) :).

I luv Twitter! Much of my traffic is generated through Twitter.

You can also join groups such as "Twittermoms" (link on my site) as there's a lot of groups and other fun things to get you into the swing of things.

There's some terrific Twitter Tips on my blog, just do a search for "Twitter" and they should pull up to help you!

I set up a Twitter account two weeks ago, and now have 1,100 followers. Yup.

My wife kinda led me in that direction, since she is so techie. And since she's the boss of our house, I just do as I'm told.

It can be a way to get more traffic to your blog.

I am yet to figure out Twitter, but whole-heartedly agree with everything you have to say in this post. We have people who follow our twitter feed, but do not follow our blog. It makes no sense to me. Why would anyone do that? The character limitations alone make it difficult to be funny and interesting in 102 clicks or less, right?

Hope you are enjoying a wonderful holiday. Happy New Year!

    F.

Jennifer, I'm beginning to catch on to what you're saying. But, with only 48 followers, I'm hardly bored. Some folks tweet every time they exhale.

    Leanne, we'll learn together.

Cindi, I signed up for TwitterMoms, but it looks to me like one more thing to keep up with. I'm torn.

Paul, what's your secret, man? C'mon! Cough it up.

F, It is definitely forcing me to be more concise - something I definitely need to learn.
