I am so excited about this post, Carol. It is like a "great to meet you, here is who I am" bundle of goodness. Thank you! I have my reading cut out for me, but can't wait to get started. What better way to spend some time waiting for the ball to drop tonight?

    Happy New Year!

    Happy New Year!

Those are great posts! I think I'll totally copy you and do a My Ten Favorite Posts From Last Year post, too. Tomorrow. xo

Carol, thanks for stopping by my blog! I wanted to post to #3. A friend, who is also a photographer and musician (She and DH grad from Julliard. He teaches and plays for the local symphony here. She used to, until momhood got into the way, but that is the more important job... :D) Well my friend and I have been discussing this, even today!!! Her DH's solution is "Don't practice, don't eat! If I don't practice, non of us eat..."

I did have a heart to heart talk with DD and tell her, you either want to do this and do it correctly or not. I am no longer going to fight on on it. You will do this for this amount of time every morning... Otherwise, we will quit. This will be your last year. You know what, it worked. That kid got serious and made me proud of her!!!

    Love your blog!

Hooray for Melissa (Missy)!!! I'm talking, whatever it takes! And you know what? It truly takes 10,000 hours. Way to go, Mom!

It was a Happy Old Year, everyone. Let's see how '09 goes!

I definitely need to revisit the "How to get your kids to practise their instruments" post. I need all the advice I can get.

My favorite is definitely the Uranus one. Oh, but then again I love the one where you told about how unhygienic the 12 y/o is...

Look -- Elixir made the list! Very groovy.
Aren't lurkers just, well, you know, kinda creepy?
