It doesn't happen often, but I do occasionally blog for money. Here's the requisite disclosure statement. Just so there are no surprises, right?
This blog is a personal blog written and edited by me. I do accept forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, paid insertions or other forms of compensation for posts. Like I said, it doesn't happen very often, but it does happen. (It would rock if it happened more, okay?)
It is possible that compensation received could influence the content of topics, posts or advertising that appears here on this blog. I don't always identify content as "paid" or "sponsored." I usually do indicate whether I am recommending a product and not being paid to do so, however. When I remember to do so, that is.
In other words, it's tough for the reader to know 100% for sure whether I'm getting paid to write a post or not. The safe bet, however, is that I'm not.
I only endorse products or services that I believe are worthy of an endorsement, however. In other words, if I don't like a product or service, I'm not going to take money to encourage you to try it. That's definite hypocricy and I'm not going there. It's tempting, but I value my readers too much to deceive them, regardless of the bucks involved.
Any question about a product claim should be verified with the manufacturer of the product. Any question about a service claim, should be verified with the provider. Don't kill the messenger (ie. me!)
The views and opinions expressed at She Lives are mine alone. Unless I tell you it's someone else's view or opinion, of course. I do try to give credit where it's due. If I claim to be an expert on something or it just looks like I am, it's probably because I am most definitely an expert. So, just relax. Because we all know that doesn't happen very often, either.
Blog on!
